The Orange City Arts Council brings artists to schools, showcases local talent, and sponsors great performers from across the country and around the world some of which include De Lofstem Fanfare Band from the Netherlands, Synchronicity of NYC, The Cashore Marionettes, Peter Fletcher, Open Hands of LA, The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and The Boston Brass. Especially for children are art classes through the year, plus acting opportunities with Missoula Children’s Theatre. The Orange City Arts Council collaborates with Northwestern College, The SchoolHouse Company, schools and libraries to bring the arts to the Orange City area.

OnStage Orange City

Orange City Arts Council’s Regional Exhibition features regional artists’ work in a juried exhibit.

Orange City is home to one of the best small college theatre programs in the country. The students and professors regularly win acting, directing and stagecraft awards for productions of classic, contemporary and original plays. The Northwestern College theatre season includes three to four faculty-directed shows and an annual Children’s Theatre production as well as a World Premiere Festival of student-scripted plays and RUSH dance exhibition.

tulip festival night show

Each year a musical production is chosen and performed during Orange City’s annual Tulip Festival. The show performs four times during the festival—Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights—to the delight of visitors and community members alike. The annual production produced, directed, cast, and supported by volunteers.
