Beginners Volleyball Camp $55
This camp is for those athletes who want to start learning about the game of volleyball. This will be a camp that will teach the basic fundamentals and the rules to the game of volleyball. Fundamental Camp $90 or $75
For students going into grades 5-9 – Limit 110 athletes
This camp is for those athletes who are looking to improve their skills in passing, serving, setting, hitting, blocking, digging and team play. High energy and knowledgeable coaches will be there to help you enjoy and improve your volleyball game. There will be two fundamental camps offered this summer, one in June and one in August.

August 7-9, 2-5 pm • $75 (3 days)
Setter/Hitter Camp $75
This camp is for the athletes who want to focus on hitting or setting. The girls will decide which skill they would like to focus on and then they will be divided into a setting group and a hitting group. Each skill group will work on the basics and then learn a variety of different sets and attacks.

August 8, 9-11am & 11:30am – 1:30pm
Advanced Setter/Hitter Camp $75
Advanced setter/hitter camp is for the high school athletes who want to advance their hitting or setting. After a short session on the basics, setters and hitters will work on a variety of different sets and attacks in volleyball; quicks, shoots,
slides, combinations, 71s, hitting off the block, and back row attacks.
August 7, 9-11am & 11:30am – 1:30pm
Serving Camp $50
Are you having trouble getting your serve over the net consistently? Do you want to learn how to jump serve? We will help you improve your standing serve and you will learn how to do jump top spin serve and a jump floater. This camp will give you a great foundation to begin being a dominating server.

Advanced Serving Camp $50
Get ready to dominate from the serving line! Learn the techniques to become an aggressive confident server. The type of serves that will be highlighted are the standing floater, jump floater and jump top spin. Your power, as well as the accuracy of your serve, will improve!

Elite Defensive Camp $65
Grades 7-12 – $50
This elite defensive camp is designed for athletes who desire to train in passing, serve reception and defense. Learn the technique and mindset needed to be a standout back row player with excellent ball control skills. Skills taught at this camp will include left, middle and right back defensive positions, serve reception, and second ball contact.
June 17-18, 5:30-7:00pm
August 8, 5:30–8:30pm
Grades 7-12 – Limit – 120 athletes
This camp is for those athletes who are ready to take their game to the next level. Be ready to be pushed! The athletes will be divided up to play with players that will have comparable skills. Team play, along with skill sessions will be incorporated into this camp. Learn from experienced coaches who are ready to teach you the latest techniques in volleyball.
June 20-21, Grade 7-12 – $125 Commuter, $150 Overnight
August 259-6, Grades 7-12 -$140 Commuter, $165 Overnight
If you are staying overnight you will need to bring the following:
- Sheets (for single bed) or sleeping bag and pillow
- Shampoo, soap, toothbrush, and any other
toiletries you need
- A little spending money (optional)
- Snacks for your room
- Overnight campers will have all meals provided
on NWC’s campus
- Commuter campers will have all meals provided,
with the exception of breakfast
Kyle Van Den Bosch
In his 14 years as Head Coach, Kyle Van Den Bosch has made Northwestern College one of the premier volleyball programs in the NAIA. Winning 79% of his matches with an impressive 371-99 record. Van Den Bosch is tops in overall winning percentage and second all-time in career wins at Northwestern. He has guided the Red Raiders to the NAIA Volleyball National Championship 8 of his 13 years as head coach, reaching the quarterfinals 3 times. The 2017 team captured the conference title which was the 6th GPAC Regular Season title in Coach Van Den Bosch’s tenure and an overall record of 175-33 in the conference in the 13 years. He was named the GPAC Coach of the year 6 times and Regional Coach of the Year 5 times.
Van Den Bosch has coached 7 GPAC Players of the Year, 16 NAIA All-Americans and 68 all-conference players. Prior to his coaching at NWC, Van Den Bosch served as a successful high school coach both in Iowa and in California, leading his team to the California state semifinals. He has over 21 years of volleyball camp experience and has worked with volleyball players from second grade through the collegiate level.
