The Orange City Public Library Board of Trustees has multiple vacancies and is seeking applicants. The Orange City Public Library Board of Trustees is a 7-member governing board made up of Orange City residents appointed to four year terms, or to complete unfinished terms, by the City Council. The board is required to be gender balanced.
Qualifications include Orange City residency, a commitment to provide quality library service for our community and readiness to devote time and effort to the duties of trusteeship. Responsibilities include attending and participating in monthly board meetings, completing annual education requirements, establishing policies and long term goals for the library, initiating and overseeing the budget process, promoting and advocating for the library in the community, and hiring and evaluating the library director.
