Story Hours
The Orange City Public Library offers story times for 10 weeks in the spring and fall. Each story time is planned with a particular age range in mind, but all children are welcome to join us! Children under three must have an adult accompany them to library programs.
Pajama Story Time
Kids are invited to dress in their PJs and join us on Monday nights for stories, crafts, and a few wigglers to get some of that energy out before bedtime! Geared for ages 3-5.
Movin’ & Groovin’
Move and groove in this unique story time, geared for ages 3-TK on Tuesdays. Experience active stories, song and dance, and play with our sensory rich toys.
Preschool Story Time
Whether your child goes to morning or afternoon preschool, they can join us for stories at the library! With a morning and afternoon session on Thursdays, preschoolers will benefit from even more exposure to literature through a variety of books, activities, and crafts!
Babygarten
Children 6 months- 3 years and their caregivers enjoy this lapsit program featuring books, rhymes, songs, and stories, while learning pre-literacy skills.
Rhythm and Rhyme/Ritmos y Rimas
Bring your kids of all ages to a Saturday morning bilingual storytime! Enjoy books, songs, games, and learn the words of the day in English and Spanish.
1,000 books before kindergarten
Sign up your child (ages birth – preschool) for this self-paced program. Write down the books you read, and attend our graduation each August once you read 1,000 books! **This program is supported in part by the MOCHA Kiwanis Club.**

Each year the library holds the Summer Reading Program. Anyone, no matter their age, can participate.
