The library is pleased to offer boxed curriculum kits that are available for a 3-week check out. These are great resources for teachers and homeschooling families alike. There is a wide range of kit subjects, from the rainforest to multiplication to Lewis and Clark. Search for “Learning Kits” as a series in our catalog for a complete list.
The library hosts art classes for homeschoolers each fall and winter. Three courses on varying topics and for different ages are offered each session. Past topics have covered Drawing, Beginning or Advanced; Painting; Watercolor; Mixed Media. For information about upcoming classes, contact Phyllis Van Gelder. (Not offered at this time.)
Additional art resources are available through Creativebug an award-winning art & craft video database of classes taught by recognized design experts and artists.
Library Staff offer tours of the library and its resources for homeschooling students, groups, or families, as well as research workshops on specific topics or types of research. Please contact Lisa Johnson for more information or to set up a tour or workshop.
