The goal of the Orange City Parks and Recreation Department is to provide our citizens with a wide range of activities. The type of activities that we are offer will hopefully be activities that can connect people in the community, as well as create life long interest in these activities. We want to create beautiful parks, and high quality programming that can benefit not only our community, but to people new to the area or that are from the surrounding area.

Bark Park
A dog park available for summer usage . This park has a large dog area along with a separate small dog area. Located in Veteran’s Park.
Dunlop Wildlife Trail
The Dunlop Wildlife Trail is a concrete-surfaced walking/running/biking trail that connects to the southeast corner of the Landsmeer Trail and goes east two miles to the Dunlop Wildlife Area.
Jaycee Park
Located on Albany Ave. SE—next to Northwestern College’s Korver Field—Jaycee Park has lighted tennis courts and two open air shelters.
Kinderspeelland Park
Located in Vet’s Park, this community-built wooden playground was constructed in September 1996. All the labor for the project was donated by local citizens and the project was completed in five days. Kinderspeelland Read More
Landsmeer Trail
A cement path located around the perimeter of Landsmeer Golf Club. The 2-mile path is great for walking, jogging, biking, or rollerblading. The Dunlop Wildlife Trail connects to the southeast corner of the Read More
Puddle Jumper Trail
A two mile nature trail covered with crushed rock. A bridle path for horses also runs along side of the main trail. The path is a former railroad right-of-way connecting the communities of Read More
Puddle Jumper View Park
This open space park includes a rock wall, play structures, a swing set and open air shelter. A rock walking path adjoins from the park to the Puddle Jumper Trail.
Robert M. Dunlop Wildlife Area
The Dunlop Wildlife Area has 2 fishing piers, an amphitheater, 2 tenting areas with fire pits, a .58 mile crushed trail, and a stocked pond (catch and release). A popular fishing spot for Read More

Windmill Park
Downtown Orange City—this park includes an open air rental shelter, beautiful play structures, picnic tables, restrooms, and bandshell. It is the showcase park for the annual Tulip Festival.
Woudstra Family Park
This park includes an inclusive playground, splash pad area, pickleball courts, and disc golf course. Located adjacent to the Puddle Jumper Trail.

Reserve a Campground
Orange City Campgrounds
You can find Orange City’s campground site located in Veteran’s Park. This central location provides plenty of different opportunities for recreation as well as family activities. Next to the campsite is Veteran’s Park, pickleball courts, a skate park, baseball fields, a hitting cage, basketball hoops, and modern bathrooms with showers. Located north of the campsite is Orange City’s Dog Park, which provides an enclosed space for dogs to run and play. At the east end of the campground, you will find a sign with different businesses, restaurants, and activities to do around Orange City.
There are 8 campground sites with cement pads. Sites A – E have full hookups (30 & 50 amp), sites F and G do not have a sewer connection. Site H is for tent camping only. Showers and bathrooms are located north of the campsites. You will be able to reserve up to 14 days of camping. After 14 days you can re-register for additional days. Campers upon arriving will need to fill out their information at the registration booth. We ask that you post this registration information on the pole of your site. Reservations end at 10am the following morning.

The Orange City Recreation Programs offer exciting and enriching programs for children starting at 3 years of age, to programs offered for adults. Our goal is to provide positive and exciting social opportunities through recreation and leisure programming. The programs are offered at various sites throughout Orange City, and the participants of these activities can be assured they will receive the following benefits:
- A safe haven to socialize and recreate with their peers.
- A time set aside to teach life long lasting activities.
- Team building and collaboration.
- Programming that incorporates character development in confidence, integrity, leadership and teamwork.
- Great Arts and Crafts programming offered daily.
