City of Orange City Announces New Public Works Director
Orange City is pleased to announce the hiring of Jason Budden as the City’s new Public Works Director.
Budden brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across technical, maintenance, reliability, and multi-disciplinary engineering roles. Most recently, he has served as Director of Engineering Design & Support at Wells Dairy, overseeing facility infrastructure and complex manufacturing processes.
Raised on a farm near Granville, Budden has deep roots in northwest Iowa. He earned a degree in Instrumentation and Controls from Northwest Iowa Community College and has built a career focused on operational excellence, safety, and team leadership.
“As Director of Public Works, I am committed to building on the strong foundation already in place, enhancing safety across all public works disciplines, and delivering future projects with excellence for the residents of Orange City,” Budden shared.
In his new role, Budden will oversee the City’s public works operations, supporting essential services and infrastructure that contribute to the quality of life in Orange City.
Budden and his wife, Jonna, have three children – Riley, Lydia, and Aubri. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, camping, golfing, and fishing.
