Join The SchoolHouse Company this holiday season for Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Radio Play. The production will be Dec. 18, 19 and 20 at the Northwestern College DeWitt Theatre Arts Center. Time is 7:00pm. The radio play is based on the holiday movie, Miracle on 34th Street, the timeless story of an old man who calls himself Kris Kringle. He is hired as the Macy’s department store Santa, but problems erupt when he claims to be the real Santa Claus… and Kris Kringle/ Santa must go to court. Perhaps a young child’s belief could make all the difference… “Faith is believing when common sense tells you not to.” It’s a Christmas classic, said Lois Estell of Orange City’s The SchoolHouse Company, and will be presented as a live 1940s radio broadcast. Director is Aaron Montalvo. The cast includes Christie Conover, Brande Pals, Caroline Pauls, Geana Schneider, Scott Amsberry, Bill Minnick, Kenton Pauls, Nick Rohlf and Duane Schneider. Others assisting are Meghan Aardsma, set design and poster; Greg Haverdink, sound and lights; Linda Dykstra, costumes; and Lois Estell, box office. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students; children ages five and under are free. Tickets may be reserved by contacting theschoolhousecompany@gmail.com For more information, see facebook.com/SHCTheater or www.orangecityarts.net.
