Please join us for a special lecture by Ton Sels, a dedicated volunteer at the Abraham Kuyper Center located in Maassluis, The Netherlands. Abraham Kuyper (1837-1920) was a Dutch politician, journalist, statesman, and theologian. He served as prime minister of the Netherlands from 1901-1905. In November 1898, Kuyper visited Orange City and Pella. The local paper described having such a distinguished visitor as “really quite an event in the history of our community.“ Over 1000 people came to listen to his two-hour lecture. Learn about Kuyper’s speech to Orange Citians and how this famous Reformed Leader viewed the Iowa Dutch.
