Accepting Sealed Bids – 1968 Tanker Truck
The City of Orange City Fire Department is accepting sealed bids for a 1968 Chevrolet Tanker Truck (serial #CE538J129076) with the following understanding:
The purchaser is hereby notified that this vehicle and all related equipment is permanently removed from emergency service response.
Permanently removed from emergency service response means the Orange City Fire Department cannot sell or otherwise transfer title to any individual or emergency response service organization that will use the vehicle for emergency service response.
Acceptable disposition may include but is not limited to farm use, construction or nursery use, scrap metal, salvage, or foreign donation.
Any use other than historical replica – “Orange City” name to be removed
Questions
All questions regarding bid must be in writing to Dan Roghair, Fire Chief, by mail or Email danroghair@gmail.com. It is the responsibility of the prospective bidders to verify receipt of questions via stated email address or via 712-395-2824. The cutoff date and time for questions is Tuesday, December 18, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, while also giving a designated “preferred buyer” the opportunity to match any other accepted bid before the sale is finalized.
