The Dutch American Heritage Museum's mission is to preserve and celebrate the rich story of Northwest Iowa's Dutch immigrant history and culture. The museum’s collection includes antiques from North Holland, traditional Dutch clothing, military pieces, items used by local settlers, and a Native American collection. The board also believes in educating the community on local history and culture. Volunteers continue to host hundreds of regional elementary school children, high school and college-aged guests each year for tour. Two popular programs include the summer lecture series called Nights at the Museum and a winter book club.
