Construction Update

It has been an exciting summer full of progress on various projects throughout Orange City! We are thankful for the hard-working crews who have dedicated their time and energy to making these updates possible! We want to thank the community for their patience and cooperation. We look forward to these projects nearing completion soon!

14th Street Project:

Construction is nearing completion on the 14th Street project just west of the new MOC-FV Elementary School. The new trail from 14th Street to the Canals will begin in September. Please contact Kurt Frederes at City Hall to inquire about purchasing any available lot.

18th Street Project:

Construction on 18th Street just east of the old airport is underway and should be completed this winter. There will be four industrial lots available once construction is completed. Please contact Ryan McEwen at City Hall for lot information.

Hwy 10 Round-about

Construction on the Hwy 10 round-about is nearing completion and traffic is now flowing normally. There will be six LED street lights installed in the month of September that will conclude this state-funded project.

Commercieel Centrum:

Orange City Development Corp. (OCDC) has signed a contract with Kwik Trip / Kwik Star for construction of a Kwik Star in the new Commercieel Centrum development. Construction will begin in the fall of 2024. Kwik Trip has over 800 convenience stores in the Midwest. For Commercial/Retail lot information contact Ryan McEwen at City Hall.
