Learn about Community Sustained Agriculture and the services provided by The Cornucopia Farm and CSA, located outside Sioux Center.
The farm is small, an effort at sustainable, biodynamic, organic, production of food sold locally, with goals of being nutrient dense and wholesome.
“We grow four acres of vegetables, using biodegradable mulches, foliar feeding, and Organic Materials Research Institute approved solutions to the rare pest. We have been growing for sale to local markets for 10 years, it is our livelihood and our passion. We love food. We enjoy growing food.
We drip irrigate, choose seeds and varieties carefully, clean and package bags or boxes for families in Sioux City, Orange City and Sioux Center. We intend to have fresh vegetables available the first week of May till Thanksgiving or beyond. We sell at farmers markets or through a CSA ( community supported agriculture). ” – John Wesselius
