Celebrate Day of Children/Day of Books at the Orange City Public Library! DÃa de Los Niños/DÃa de Los Libros is on Saturday, April 28, from 9 am -12 pm.  This bilingual event will include crafts and activities, stories, a game of loterÃa, snacks from around the world, and free books!
From 9:00-12:00, participants can learn about five different countries around the library, earning prize drawing entries for each stamp in their DÃa passport. Each station features a story and an activity or craft, as well as information about the country. Stories that stem from those countries will be read at 9:45 and 10:15. At 11:00, we’ll play a game of LoterÃa — a traditional Mexican game similar to bingo, which has been adapted to incorporate popular children’s book characters. Spanish and bilingual children’s books will be given away throughout the morning, and visitors will be able to taste snacks from the five countries.
