2022 Property Tax Levy Rates Due 2023-2024

Orange City’s total property tax levy rate ranks 550th in the state compared to the other 940 Iowa communities. Property taxes due in 2023-2024 increased to a rate of $32.72/$1,000 in comparison to $32.03 (564th rank in 2022-2023).

In the Northwest Iowa survey below, one community lowered their “city” property tax mill levy rate. Four were unchanged and four increased. The City of Orange City has been fortunate to manage it’s operating costs quite effectively while making prudent capital investments.

The survey’s combined mill levy rate averaged $33.20 compared to Orange City’s $32.72.
