The Spalding Catholic School Gala Committee is pleased to announce the details for this year’s annual Gala, Spalding Stampede. The 26th annual celebration will include an evening of fine dining, an auction, dance, and drawings for cash prizes totaling over $5,000. The event is held each year to help raise critical funds needed to support private school tuition cost.
Spalding Stampede will be held on Saturday, February 4 at the Hospers Community Center with Mass at 4:00 at St. Anthony’s, Hospers, Social Hour at 5:00 and Dinner at 6:00. Starting at 7:00 is the Live Auction, which features special items created by each grade and items donated by businesses. The Cash Drawing follows the Auction and a dance will conclude the evening.
Sponsors are invited to donate an auction item or fund one of the levels of giving with recognition in the program. Last year’s event grossed a record amount of over $59,000. “The generosity of area businesses, parents, and parishioners is truly a blessing for the success of this event and we cannot thank them enough,” commented Spalding Principal, Mrs. Maureen Berg.
