Spotlight Series: Meet the Street Department crew, Breckin and Wyatt

Each month, we take the time to highlight one of the city departments and the work they do for our community. This month, we’re featuring the Street Department. Supervisor Luke Horkey and his team work diligently behind the scenes to keep our town running smoothly. Let’s get to know team members Breckin Bomgaars and Wyatt Dagel.

Breckin, who also serves as a captain on the Orange City Fire Department, enjoys the variety of work that his role in the Street Department provides. He appreciates the small-town vibe and the community connections in Orange City. When he’s not working, Breckin and his girlfriend enjoy golfing and taking walks with their dog. He also spends time restoring old vehicles with his dad and uncles, as well as cleaning cars with his cousins.

Wyatt joined the team just six months ago. So far, he has found great satisfaction in making a direct, positive impact on the community through various projects and services that enhance Orange City. Living in Orange City for nine years, Wyatt enjoys engaging in activities with his family during his free time.

Thank you, Breckin and Wyatt, for your dedicated service to Orange City!
