In late August, the American Legion Post completed an enhancement project at the Veterans Memorial, improving the landscaping around this important landmark. The $20,000 update was made possible through a request approved earlier this year, thanks to the GrowOC initiative, which provided funding assistance for this meaningful project.
When asked about the project, Colby Vlietstra shared,
“Pressman-Kosters American Legion Post #329 has been blown away by the support of the GrowOC Board. We weren’t sure where we would get our funding, or if we would need to fundraise, but after sitting with the board members, they were just as excited as we were about being able to serve our community and military veterans with this project. New landscaping, retaining walls, privacy screens, and trees have helped set our Orange City Veterans Memorial apart. It was a blessing that we could move forward to enjoy the beautiful changes. We are so thankful to them for helping fund this project!”
