volunteers needed to help plant tulip bulbs – October 18 and 19, 2024

In the last few years, local volunteers have been tweaking the process of planting 15,000 tulip bulbs in Windmill Park in downtown Orange City.

Nora Mulder and John Buntsma, lead volunteers, have watched the beds get better each year , and have a few new ideas for this year.

“Our goal is to make next spring’s tulips look the best ever,” they said.

Up to a dozen volunteers have helped with planting the bulbs in the past. There is room for even more volunteers.

Dates:

• October 18, 2024: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
• October 19, 2024: 8:30 am – Until done

Rain Days:

• October 25 & 26, 2024
