The reconstruction of Delaware Ave and 2nd St SW began in July and has progressed well. The project consists of utility work/replacement and concrete paving of four city blocks. As part of the project, the 2nd St SW connection between Colorado Ave and Delaware Ave will be paved and will be a through-street again. This project is a continuation of the city street reconstruction program and will allow for redevelopment of the former elementary school property.
