Orange City & Alton Municipal Aquatic Facilities

Orange City Municipal Aquatic Facility is heated and offers zero-depth entry, a water slide, lap lanes, diving boards, a splash pad, shade areas, picnic tables, and changing rooms. The aquatic facility is open seven days a week during the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day). 712-707-2500.

The Alton Municipal Aquatic Facility offers a baby pool with a depth of 1′-2′ and a larger pool with a depth ranging from 3’6″ – 12’6″ along with two 3″ diving boards and a 10″ high dive as well as a bathhouse with changing rooms and showers. The aquatic facility is open seven days a week during the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day). 712-756-4216.

Orange City Area Health System Pools

The Aquatic Center at Orange City Area Health System Campus offers a low-impact cardiovascular exercise opportunity in comfortable 84°F water. Two lap pools offer an adjustable current to swim or walk against.

Golf

Landsmeer Golf Club is an 18-hole course with a practice facility including range, putting green, practice sand bunker, and chipping green. Tee times recommended. For more information contact 712-737-3429 or visit landsmeergolfclub.com.

Sioux Golf and Country Club is located in Alton—three miles east of Orange City on Highway 10. It is a 9-hole course and is one of Iowa’s oldest. For more information contact 712-756-4513 or visit siouxgolfandcountryclub.com.

Walking & Jogging

A concrete path is located around the perimeter of Landsmeer Golf Club. The two-mile path is great for walking, jogging, biking, or rollerblading.

The Puddle Jumper Trail is a two-mile nature trail covered with crushed rock. The path is a former railroad right-of-way connecting the communities of Orange City and Alton.

An all-weather track is located at Korver Field on the campus of Northwestern College and is available to the public.

Rowenhorst Student Center

Located on the campus of Northwestern College. A membership or day pass is required to use the indoor facility which includes: a track, tennis courts, volleyball courts, racquetball courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, a weight room, a game room, a TV lounge, and cash snack/lunch bar. Tennis

There are four community tennis courts which are outside, lighted, and renovated in the summer of 2006 located in Jaycee Park.

Indoor courts are located in the Rowenhorst Student Center at Northwestern College. A membership or day pass is required to use the indoor courts.
