Discover 4-H Day Camp $20

Celebrate the great outdoors during Discover 4-H Day Camp! Don’t miss this opportunity to explore Sandy Hollow Recreation Area through canoeing, archery and nature walks. Learn about the creatures that live in the area while experiencing Sioux County’s natural surroundings. For grades 1 & 2. No class size limit.

Explorations in Vet Science $20

If you like animals and science, you might want to be a veterinarian. Youth explore the basics of animal behavior and health and visit with a local veterinarian about a vet science career. For grades 4-8. Class limited to 20.

Next Steps Vet Science $20

Next Steps Vet Science is for youth who have completed grades 5th-9th and participated in Explorations in Vet Science camp. Youth build knowledge and experiences in vet science by exploring animal body systems and animal health through hands on learning. For grades 5-9. Class limited to 10.

Nature STEM camp $20

Youth learn about: water quality, how to fish, the biodiversity of our local wetlands, how organisms work together in an ecosystem and how ecologists conduct population studies. Hands-on experiments help students learn about the interconnectedness of organisms in a natural community. For grades4-8. Class limited 20.

Plant Detectives & Insect Invasion $20

Budding scientists use technology to explore plants and insects and the role they play in agriculture with hands-on activities. Students collect and share data about local plants and insects through online research projects such as NatureFind and Creek Watch. For grades 4-8. Class limited to 20.

Youth experience fun, hands-on activities, taste locally grown food and follow the journey of food from the farm to your fork. For grades 4-8. Class limited to 20.

Robotics Camp (GEAR TECH I) $75

GEAR-Tech-21 teaches robotics, GPS, and GIS technologies through building and programming a robot, navigation, and mapmaking activities. For grades 4-8. Class limited to 20.

July 28 – 31 (4-day camp) 9:00am–3:00pm

Location:  Sioux County Extension Office – Orange City

Advanced Robotics (Gear TECH II) $75

Take the next step in building and programming robots, this camp gives youth an opportunity to set their own pace and continue exploring with Mindstorm EV3 kits. For grades 5-9. Class limited to 20.

August 4-7 (4-day camp) Time: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
