Reserve Your Favorite Park

The arrival of summer means picnics, reunions, and outdoor birthday parties. After being inside all winter, we can all agree outdoors is the place to be. For a very inexpensive “get away”, Orange City has four shelters which are available to rent for your group activities. All of these City-owned facilities have a refrigerator, stove, sink, and counters.

Pool Shelter House

The pool shelter house is located by the Orange City Swimming Pool. This shelter house has 9 picnic tables and can hold 70-80 people. It is not heated or air-conditioned but has windows with screens that can be opened. Near a playground, ball fields, and fishing area.

Scout House

The Scout House is located in Veteran's Park and is available year-round. There are 6 round tables for 40-50 guests, 3 rectangular serving tables, and many park amenities around this shelter. This shelter house is heated but not air conditioned. Guests can enjoy basketball courts, pickleball courts, sand volleyball, a dog park, and playground equipment.

Veteran’s Park Shelter House

The Veteran's Park Shelter has 6 picnic tables indoors, with additional covered outdoor seating to accommodate 60-80 people. Guests can enjoy basketball courts, pickleball courts, sand volleyball, a dog park, and playground equipment.

Windmill Park Shelter House

The Windmill Park shelter house is in downtown Orange City on Central Avenue. There are 8 picnic tables available under a canopy that can seat 64-70 people. It is an open-air shelter house with no air conditioning or heat. Playground equipment is located next to this shelter with bathrooms behind the bandshell in the park.
