Tis the Season…for Weeds

Just a friendly reminder that the Orange City Municipal Code of Ordinances requires all weeds and other growth must be destroyed between the months of May through October. In the event of a complaint, the property owner will be contacted and asked to remove the weeds. In the event of failure to comply, the City or its designated representative shall enter the property and destroy said weeds or other growth at the property owners’ expense. The City will assess the actual cost of labor and material expended plus 10% of this amount for administrative costs against the property cleared of weeds or other growth which constitutes a healthy, safety, or fire hazard.
