The Orange City Public Library was founded in 1915 as one of the first projects of the Orange City Women’s Club. In order to finance the project, the women’s club had a membership fee of 50 cents per family, held tag day sales, collected from house to house and operated a novelty stand at the Fourth of July Celebration.
Orange City Public Library is enriching a vibrant community by providing skilled staff, exceptional service, engaging programming, and a comfortable space where individuals discover their heritage, express creativity, and pursue life long learning through the use of information, and technology.
The Orange City Public Library offers a wide variety of programming for all ages. Story times have grown to include sensory activities for toddlers and lapsit programs for infants. School aged children may attend our afterschool program and special events. Opportunities for teens abound during the summer. Monthly programs on a wide variety of topics are available for adults. Get involved and learn something new at the library.
